09CuPCrNi-A Weathering Steel Coils Supplied to a Container Manufacturer in Vietnam

In October, 2026, we supplied 180 tons of 09CuPCrNi-A weathering steel coils to a container manufacturer in Vietnam.

The coils, 2.0 mm to 6.0 mm thick with mill edge and oiled surface, are roll-formed into corrugated side wall and roof panels of special-purpose containers that stand in sea port atmosphere all year round.

09CuPCrNi-A corresponds to SPA-H under JIS G 3125 and is one of the most widely used grades for container structures, because its atmospheric corrosion resistance is roughly two to eight times that of plain carbon steel and the panels can be left with a stable rust appearance.

Before loading, the client sent their QC engineer to our warehouse to check the coil surface condition, edge quality, coil weight and marking. The coils were packed with waterproof wrapping paper and steel strapping, and shipped from Shanghai to Ho Chi Minh City. The whole batch passed the client's incoming inspection, and a repeat order for the next quarter is already in discussion.
