Difference between EN10025-5 S355J0WP weathering steel plate and stainless steel plate

EN10025-5 S355J0WP weathering steel plate has low alloy structural steel with a protective oxide layer for vehicles, bridges, water towers and containers which are to be resistant to atmospheric corrosion and can be used to manufacture steel. Compared with carbon steel, EN10025-5 S355J0WP weathering steel plate has better atmospheric corrosion resistance.

Compared with stainless steel, the weathering resistance of EN10025-5 S355J0WP weathering steel plate only has a small amount of alloy elements such as phosphorus, copper, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, niobium, vanadium and titanium. The total amount of alloy elements in EN10025-5 S355J0WP weathering steel plate is only a small part, unlike stainless steel, reaching 100%, so the price is relatively low.

EN10025-5 S355J0WP weathering steel plate has good atmospheric corrosion resistance. Although the cost of investment in the earlier application plate weather is slightly higher than that of ordinary carbon steel, the cost of maintaining the surface quality of EN10025-5 S355J0WP weathering steel plate is lower than that of spraying carbon steel.
