1.8961 Steel Features

1.8961 steel under EN10025-5 standard is an alloy weathering steel formulated for primary forming into wrought products. S235J2W steel is the EN chemical designation.
1.8961 steel features: It is a kind of improved atmospheric corrosion resistance steel. Improved atmospheric corrosion resistance steel means weathering steel or atmosphere corrosion resistance steel.  This is because the steel forms a protective layer on its surface under the influence of the weather. In other words, the 1.8961/S235J2W steel is allowed to rust in order to form the protective coating.
